It's been a great month. At her 4 month checkup she weighed 14lbs 5oz (75 percentile and over twice her birth weight) and was 25.5 in long (90 percentile). The doctor said she was definitely in the 90ies percentile for hair growth :)
We did lots of fun things over the past month:
- Juliet went to her first football game. Aunt Diane was on Bishop Kelley homecoming court so we went to the game to cheer her on. It was late, but she didn't sleep ... though she does look a little tired in the pictures!
- We went to the pumpkin patch on a very windy October day with the Scheuermans, Scherers and Birks. It was lots of fun and Juliet got to hang out with her "cousin" Bailey!
- We visited Caedmon to take some Halloween pictures. Juliet had fun until it was time to take pictures in her costume so the pictures don't represent our visit very well, but she had a good time.
- Jumperoo days are here! Juliet is big enough for her Rainforest Jumperoo and LOVES to spend time in there playing with all the stuff and slobbering all over everything.
- Juliet went on her first road trip up to Nebraska over Halloween weekend. We went up to Omaha to meet up with some high school friends and their spouses and then of course stopped in Lincoln to see Dominic's family. We stayed with the Nivers (Nick and Marcy), the Wolfes (Chad and Sarah) came up from Kansas city with their daughter Hannah, and the Tanners (David and Patricia) came all the way from Colorado. I don't know if I've blogged about Juliet's dislike of the car, but we were a little concerned about the car part of the trip (it's about 7 hours without a baby along). We all survived the trip with about 1hr of crying each way and lots of stops. We had fun seeing everyone and Juliet did surprising well once we got there - she even slept in till 10am on Saturday morning! It was a good test for all the driving we'll be doing over Christmas.
- Aunt Danielle asked me if Juliet's in the "put things in her mouth stage." I guess you could call it that. She likes to grasp any object and put it in her mouth ... or at least try to. Things she has yet to get in her mouth include Dominic's guitar and Charlie :) Picture her with two baby handfuls of fur pulling them toward her face with mouth wide open. I'll attempt to get this on video sometime soon. Charlie is so tolerant of his little sister!
- She giggled at Charlie for the first time this month. He was out playing in the leaves and she just started laughing. Since then he's made her laugh lots of times. She loves to watch him.
- Juliet rolled over from back to tummy (to the right) on the 7th of November! She was motivated by an awesome toy Grandma bought her that lights up so was rolling over to grab it. She's still not crazy about her tummy, but is getting better about pushing up on her arms and not just laying there and complaining about tummy time.
- This past Sunday after church, she reached for Dominic. It was too sweet for words. She loves her daddy.
